Fun, games, and networking at the ORF Enterprise Bowling Cup

Things were in full swing this week at the ORF Enterprise Bowling Cup, which I had the pleasure of hosting for the fourth time in a row this year. At the “Kugeltanz” in Vienna’s Prater park, participants bowled and networked with passion for three days. This year, there was a very special theme… 

What is the Bowling Cup? 

At the invitation of ORF Enterprise, the marketing subsidiary of ORF, over 600 customers (spread over three days) came together to network. However, having fun was also high on the list of priorities for the event, which used to be a golf tournament previously. However, it quickly became apparent that bowling is a sport that no one really knows how to perfectly play, but everyone can do a little bit, and it has a high fun factor. What’s more, the “Kugeltanz” has over 30 lanes, so there’s plenty of room for lots of people.

Star Trek theme: Ronny as Captain Kirk

I never thought I’d be walking around in a Star Trek uniform for work, introducing bowling teams with a communicator, cheering for strikes, and announcing winners. To take the audience to a distant galaxy as Captain James T. Kirk with a communicator in my hand—it was a childhood dream come true. 

Great event, awesome atmosphere 

Thanks again to the entire ORF Enterprise team for this successful collaboration. The atmosphere was fantastic, not least thanks to Ö3 DJ Christoph Wiesner, who provided the perfect beats for disco bowling. I had a blast and am already looking forward to the next fun-filled (bowling) evening together.
