Hosting the iab webAD Awards – Digital creativity at the highest level

The interactive advertising bureau austria – or iab for short – held the iab webAD Awards show yesterday. I had the honor of hosting this event, which took place in front of over 1000 guests in an exclusive setting in the Expedithalle in Vienna.

The iab webAD Award has been presented for over two decades. This event of the Austrian digital industry is a who is who gathering of national online marketing.

Awards were given in over 22 categories for outstanding creativity, strategic excellence, convincing performance, innovative use of technology and much more. As a professional event host, I travel a lot and see a lot. But what was awarded here yesterday really amazed me. There were some really cool things.

I had an incredible amount of fun at the event. Experiencing so much creativity is always inspiring. The collaboration with iab and IDEAL Live Marketing GmbH, who organized the show, went smoothly and I really enjoyed it.

Great location with a superb atmosphere

The way the organizers managed to combine the actual industrial charm of the Expedithalle with glitter and glamour deserves the highest recognition. The gala dinner and the party after the awards ceremony will also remain in my memory.

For me personally, it wasn’t the first industry award that I had the honor of hosting. But the reputation of the event and the number of guests meant a new level for me in events with such an orientation.
